@clotilde Fat is not a disease. Only in very rare cases is it medical. It is caused by overeating. You may not consciously “choose to be fat”, but if you eat more than you burn in calories you are making a choice. Nobody is forcing the food down your throat. A company selling medical products for bariatric surgery has a vested interest in telling fat people that their ‘condition’ is medical. It isn’t. The same results can be achieved with willpower, a calorie controlled diet and exercise.
